To those who have devoted their lives to dance, sometimes called dancesport, dance matters greatly. These are the people to whom the future, the needs and wishes of the dancer matter.
It is also an unfortunate fact that certain matters have divided the dance world, there are those prepared to work simply for their own power and ignoring the needs and wishes of the dancers - the people who should matter most.
This website is dedicated to all those to whom dance matters, to whom freedom matters.

Recently yhe IDSF President has been very vocal in his support of the IDSF Presidium Member Mr Galvagno, under whose Presidency the Italian IDSF member FIDS has become embroiled in controversy. It is always important to judge people by their words and actions and the following correspondence is interestong indeed. USADance the IDSF member for USA organised a great Latin World Championship for the IDSF. Mr Galvagno was "unhappy" and wrote to America expressing (in his normal manner) his "importance". USA responded and copied their response to almost all the IDSF Presidium but at his moment not one of these people has replied to the letter. However in Prress Releases they make it clear Mr Galvagno has their trust, confidence and respect !!!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Letter to Mr Richards

Will we soon have another "Letter" from the IDSF President blaming everyone else in the world whilst FIDS and IDSF remain perfect (in his opinion). Surely there should now be the realisation that there was something seriously wrong. How long have people complained about a certain "Team" and been ignored by IDSF? Chickens come home to roost. Google Language Translation of the letter written by Luca Pancalli from the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) appointed to investigate the situation on FIDS. The original in Italian is also shown below OPEN LETTER TO COMMISSIONER FIDS Luca Pancalli Turin April 6, 2011 UNION BOARD AT BASE Confederation of Piedmont which adheres to the SICODAS VIEW the previous open letter of 15 February 2011, sent from this address of the Secretary-General of Trade Unions giuliani@fids.it , with which it is required

It is the opinion of many many people that this "Update" is misguided. Are the IDSF attempting to influence opinions? Now that a Police investigation is underway would it not have been better to await the outcome? Why can the IDSF not realise that the Italian Police must have been handed strong evidence to support the allegations? Is it not immoral to link the WDC to the complaint when they were not involved in any way? Why does this "update" fail to make clear the complainant Mr Albert Pregnalato is a FIDS Member, a Licensed IDSF Adjudicator and a licensed IDSF Chairman of Adjudicators? Why does Mr Freitag not detail how he believes CONI have been misled and given misinformation? IDSF In Italy – An Update From The President The IDSF Presidium has been carefully monitoring recent developments in Italy following the appointment of a

Very interesting to read the translation of the CONI Resolution A true and correct copy of the original Office for Collective Bodies Alessandro Cherubini [Signature] COMITATO OLIMPICO NAZIONALE ITALIANO [Italian National Olympic Committee] RESOLUTION OF THE NATIONAL COMMITTEE No. 10 RE: Nomination of Extraordinary Member of the Italian DanceSport Association Implementation: Knowledge: Delivered on: THE NATIONAL COMMITTEE AS PER Article 7, Item 2, Letter f) of D.Lgs.1 No. 242 of 23rd July 1999 and subsequent amendments and supplements which among the functions of the National Committee provides for the proposal to the National Committee of the appointment of an external Commissioner of the National Sports Association

The President of the IDSF Mr Carlos Freitag issued a letter which can be read here. http://www.idsf.net/index.tpl?style=news&action=newsItem&id=206 This is truly a letter which causes disbelief. It speaks about Freedom and then demands Control. It speaks about Freedom of Choice and then rejects Choice. The content of the letter does not stand up to close examination and has more holes than a sieve. Mr. Freitag states : In IDSF we are organized under the category of the law called “Freedom of Choice”, which means that we can choose to join or work with strong international organizations to practice sport in the best possible way, with clean rules, Anti-doping, anti-har

THE OLYMPIC DREAM THAT IS A NIGHTMARE Since that fateful day in 1997, when dancesport was recognised as a sport by the IOC the euphorics have slowly evaporated. More and more realism has crept in. More and more people have come to realise the harm being done to dancesport whilst dancesport being accepted as a Medal event becomes ever more unlikely. We read
