To those who have devoted their lives to dance, sometimes called dancesport, dance matters greatly. These are the people to whom the future, the needs and wishes of the dancer matter.

It is also an unfortunate fact that certain matters have divided the dance world, there are those prepared to work simply for their own power and ignoring the needs and wishes of the dancers - the people who should matter most.

This website is dedicated to all those to whom dance matters, to whom freedom matters.

Untruthful and False Claims by WDSF and their member nations.

Let us make it very clear that WDSF and their National bodies are making very untruthful claims.

The International Olympic Committee cannot make the WDSF the governing body for dancesport and with control over all competitions.  The IOC have admitted in correspondence they have no legal standing, no authority, no power to make such a decision.

Recognition by the IOC is limited to the Olympic movement and peripheral events like the World Games (where not the best but hand picked dancers get to compete)

At the WDC AGM in 2010 the members voted in favour of an approach being made to IDSF to  try and resolve the problems. At the IDSF AGM 2010 the members voted against talks - they did not want peace they wanted power. The dancers and their rights and wishes have never been important to those in WDSF who love power.

UNESCO - CID the umbrella organisation for all forms of dance in the world where so concerned they attempted to bring the World Dance Council and the World Dancesport Federation (then the IDSF) together and under United Nations chairmanship talk to see if peace could be reached for the good of dancesport and the dancers.

WDC sent a representative to the meeting WDSF did not.  They lacked the courtesy to respond to the invitation.  WDSF kniow their position is indefensible and cannot stand scrutiny so of course they do not wish to meet..

During this year the IDO ( www.ido-dance.com ) voted to leave the IDSF as they did not wish to be part of the WDSF.

WDSF used to once rely on false claims re drugs and WADA but since WDC and Competitive Dance reached agreement with WADA that argument holds no water. It never did and was only part of the WDSF misinformation campaign.

Time for WDSF to honour theOlympic Charter.

Olympism is a philosophy of life, exalting and combining in a balanced whole the qualities of
body, will and mind. Blending sport with culture and education, Olympism seeks to create a
way of life based on the joy of effort, the educational value of good example and respect for
universal fundamental ethical principles.

The practice of sport is a human right. Every individual must have the possibility of practising
sport, without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual
understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play
