To those who have devoted their lives to dance, sometimes called dancesport, dance matters greatly. These are the people to whom the future, the needs and wishes of the dancer matter.
It is also an unfortunate fact that certain matters have divided the dance world, there are those prepared to work simply for their own power and ignoring the needs and wishes of the dancers - the people who should matter most.

There have been a number of stories that the WDFS member for Poland banned their members from dancing the recent International Championship, but this was ignored by many of their top dancers. One of their top Latin couples went on to dance at the London Ball.
Of course WDSF have now foolishly seen fit to ban the UK Open 2012 and 2012 InternationalChampionships, as can be read here in another topic.

Nothing could demonstrate more clearly that WDSF have lost the respect of many and become figures of fun to be mocked
The IOC must accept a share of the blame. They do not care about DanceSport and Dancers, they do not enforce their own Olympic Charter. The 2 cannot even agree a commmon story.
WDSF say "We have to do it IOC demand it".
IOC say "Our Federations are independent and autonomous we have no control over their actions.
