To those who have devoted their lives to dance, sometimes called dancesport, dance matters greatly. These are the people to whom the future, the needs and wishes of the dancer matter.
It is also an unfortunate fact that certain matters have divided the dance world, there are those prepared to work simply for their own power and ignoring the needs and wishes of the dancers - the people who should matter most.
This website is dedicated to all those to whom dance matters, to whom freedom matters.

Misinformation
We are very concerned by the volume of misinformation, sensationalism and defamatory claims circulating around social media sites and by email at the moment. There is a lot of false or misleading information being put into circulation. We advise people to check the integrity and verifiability of claims being made.
If a claim concerns DanceSport New Zealand or its delegates or officers we are happy to provide a public clarification. So that everyone can access the correct information we will be positing our responses to misinformation as we become aware of it on our FAQ page and will put brief notes on our facebook page to alert updates. We believe it is important that the correct information is available to our members and other interested parties.
They have to be joking. Why not correct any alleged "misinformation" or "defamatory" statements here? Tell us what is wrong so we can correct it.
Have they told NZDA dancers that after this AGM they will be trapped in the IDSF system? It will be IDSF Rules for all competitions. The big 3 and many other great comps will be banned to them. Tell the dancers how NZDA will lose it's independence and autunomy, it will no longer be able to operate in a manner which best suits New Zealand and New Zealand dancers, it will simply be rubber stamping what IDSF order. Come clean NZDA tell dancers the truth,
Why not explain why you use the name Dancesport New Zealand? You know there is a company registered under that name and it has nothing to do with NZDA.
I very warmly welcome investigations into the integrity of the person associate with this website. If complainants do not clearly identify what they claim is misinformation, how can it be corrected? Failure in that area is acceptance that the content is factual and true. I suggest dancers investigate the integrity (and motives) of people issuing Press Releases such as that I quote.
At the NZDA website they have a Frequently Asked Questions secrion. There you are supposed to get answers and facts.
Every "Answer" simply raises more questions for those who really think. I would like ro comment on 2 Q and A.
Q: Can I belong to both Dancesport New Zealand and NZD&DC?
A: Yes, we have no plans to ban athletes and adjudicators provide they comply with our rules.
Aah Yes! A touch of the IDSF disctatorship comes in,"Provided they comply with our rules". If you complyy with NSD&DC rules you will be banned. Why not just put. Yesbut we have plans to ban anyone who does not comply with our rules"? sais.
Q: Is it plausible for DanceSport New Zealand to be a member of the WDC?
A: Like the IDSF, there can only be one WDC member body for New Zealand which is the NZD&DC.
If the NZD&DC relinquished its membership then there would be nothing to prevent the WDC making
DanceSport New Zealand the WDC member body for New Zealand.
This is a very misleading answer. This is totally hypothetical and the decision, if it EVER arose. would be in the hands of the Presidium and Members of the WDC and not NZDA. It is highly unlikely that given current circumstances that NZDA would be admitted. They would need to fully support the WDC and the WDC AL and this they could not do given IDSF Policy. There are a growing number wanting DSA ejected for this very reason.

This is so familiar! Why do I feel that i have heard these repeated pronouncements over and over ad nauseum until I get lost in a morass of words? When I was very young there was a man who practised the doctrine that if you continue to print lies at every opportunity and in every medium the populace will accept the lies as truth. His name was Herr Doktor Josef Goebbels, the Minister of Propoganda in Hitler's Third Reich. One of his henchmen who did regular radio broadcasts to England from Germany was known as "Lord Haw-Haw"! This renegade, who was hanged after the Second World War for treason, was named William Joyce. Look it up. Google it!. He was the most hated and reviled man during the war.
