To those who have devoted their lives to dance, sometimes called dancesport, dance matters greatly. These are the people to whom the future, the needs and wishes of the dancer matter.
It is also an unfortunate fact that certain matters have divided the dance world, there are those prepared to work simply for their own power and ignoring the needs and wishes of the dancers - the people who should matter most.
This website is dedicated to all those to whom dance matters, to whom freedom matters.

Unbelievable that an orgaisation with connections with dance would try to block a dance competition being broadcast but that has happened. STSV the IDSF member for Switzerland made huge efforts and spread much false information in an attempt to have the 2010 WDC AM LEAGUE EUROPEAN OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP banned from TV. They failed and have been officially warned that any further attempt will end in court with substantial damages being sought. The TV company have confirmed that a 70 minute broadcast will be made of the Championship. The really sad situation is that the TV audience do not know and do not care which organisation the couples come from. That does not matter. It is ballroom and Latin dancing and great for the sport any time it can gain screen time. . An IOC requirement for inclusion as a medal sport is widespread TV coverage. In their extraordinary actions one concludes STSV are doing their best to make

At the recent Annual General Meeting of the International DanceSport Federation there was debate as to whether the IDSF should accept the invitation for talks by the WDC. The World Dance Council were listening to the voices of those directly involved in the dance scene and they were deeply concerned at the damage by the division and disunity. Even worse was the attempts being made to destroy great events. Many of the IDSF delegates had been involved in the preliminary discussions undertaken by the Peace Envoy and they were committed to seeking ways to oercome the obstacles to peace. The IDSF President in his detrmination to kill the peace initiative made statements which were seemingly totally untrue. This incorrect information influenced the less knowledgable delegates to change the way they had been mandated to vote. The motion to accept the invitation was defeated through inaccurate information This has resulted in the

In a frightening move, smacking of dictatorship, the IDSF have totally ignored that their member for Netherlands NADB had reached agreement with the organiser of the Dutch Open. The event was to be run under exactly the same conditions as 2009 and NADB Rules would apply. When coutries lose their sovereignty over their own affairs then it is becoming dangerous. However as the IDSF are waging a personal vendetta they treated the Netherlands with contempt and imposed a ban with threats against couples who attend. The good thing is that many countries will allow their couples to dance unpunished but these dancers cannot then compete in IDSF events. The number of couples who are disinterested in competing IDSF events is growing so the move might not be as effective as IDSF intend. Countries who hav eno respect for their dancers or Freedom will kneel to the IDSF and ban dancers in their ho

The World Dance Council the leading and oldest Dancesport Body in the world followed the wishes of the huge majority of persons involved in dance. After many months of consultations a letter was sent to the IDSF suggesting that a meting be arranged to discuss how the obstacles could be removed so theere was co-operation between the two bodies. To their shame the IDSF simply rejected. This arrogance is a disgrace to the beautiful world of ballroom and latin dancing even when called Dance Sport.and should by any person who is really interested and cares about Dancesport or Sport Dance. The Press Release read: Many months ago the President and Presidium of World Dance Council appointed as a Special Envoy Mr Nils-Haken C

As many people might know the IDSF members for Italy and Russia attempted top damage this great event. They not only forbid dancers to attend but threatened that those who did would be ounished but so too would every member in their dance club. One would have expected the IDSF to step in and warn these two countries that their behavior was despicable and out of order. Of course they remained silent bringing shame to their organisation. It is wonderful to be able to report these two countries failed and dancers came from both countries to compete. Some courageously resigned membershgip of their clubs so that they could not be punished./ This is imntegrity, this is principles. It is tragic that so many involved in dance/dancesport do not have the same standard

When something as beautiful as Ballroom and Latin Dancing is made ugly through the words and deeds of non dancers you cannot help but feel sad. The President of the Italian DanceSport association FIDS not content with issuing his statement in Italian some weeks ago is now sending an English translation under the disguise of a "Press Release" around the world. It is accompanied by another letter which makes you ask " Can a jaguar change and become an ass?" It would seem that might well be possible. It is as though approval is desperately s
